wider belt or variator filing?

Post by moke »

ive been in the process of tuning my elite and while playing ive noticed the belt doesnt run completely up the face of the variator face id like to get the most out of this, o wise tuners would i need to modify the base of the variator to get the extra .5 cms at the top of the face?

Greetings:

Some Forum denizens are wise, but not mind-readers. What variator? Which belt do you have now? Sometimes with an oversize vario the limiting factor is the other half of the pulley, the outer one with the starter teeth. Note how the shape goes from conical to flat?

variator is VT's DDX variator with the polini 248.002 belt, what would options be for the other half of the pulley if there is any?
