Ramp Plate Angles

Out of curiosity would having a steeper angle benefit a cvt or what exactly does it do?

A steeper ramp plate will shift the drive pulley sooner .
new best 1/8th mile time 9.647 seconds @67.155 mph 310lbs total weight

rpm plays a roll too,if he has a setup that revs high, lighter weights will be needed.
