spark plug

Post by darat »

i was the one who told u guy about the spark plug. i found the part number it is SF412C it gave me a added 4MPH on my spree. if this does not work just take your old NGK Plug to a auto parts store and have them match the numbers it works all the time. so good luck finding it... :P

Well, I ordered one for my scoot and four for my CBR. We'll see how it goes. Maybe I'll try a NGK top speed and Splitfire top speed.

I don't know about the Splitfires, but the Iridium plugs helped startup/warmup a lot on my '82 CB900F.

The Splitfire plug that darat mentioned earlier is no longer being made. All that is left of the splitfire plugs are those that people still have in stock, so that is why you may still be able to get one. I'll let you know how my NGK Iridium Goes when i get it.

Well, I got the new plug and tried it out, it is pretty cool looking thats for sure. It got me maybe 1 or 2 mph more as far as top end goes. Takeoff maybe slightly better. Really the best part about these plugs is that they use less energy to run to produce the same amount of spark. The best part is the LONG LIFE that they are said to last. Apparantly you get about 20,000 miles out of this plug in motorcycles. Thats longer than I plan on the whole spree lasting. I may eventually try the splitfire plugs, I will have to order one offline because none of my autoparts stores locally can get the splitfire for the spree. Sparkplugs.com does carry them though. I am impressed with the plug and my spree runs awesome.
