Primary Gear Ratio?

how would i calculate the gear ratio given just the number of teeth on the primary gears? (##x##)

So stock is 12*42,13*45 or A*B, C*D

To calculate the ratio, B/A multiplied by D/C=gear reduction ratio

So for example, Polini 18*39 primary gears would be:
39/18*45/13=7.5:1 gear reduction.

now thats an odd gear ratio, but at least its not a cheap * worthless 8:44:1 ratio :sad:

hey asshat, my boy has these with a corsa and his bike is hella fast. i have a 80cc bbk, 8.4/1 primary gears, a ct mani, 28mm OKO, throttle cable and uni on the way. already has a malossi vari. i would kill your bike man......

:confused: You have 8.4:1 primary gears?

I would bet you have stock primary gears and 8.44:1 secondary gears.
