Greetings:

Rollers balance the center spring in the rear pulley. You didn't mention which strength Contra spring you're using. Without knowing that, it's impossible to speculate what weight you need in the Vario. Get a gram scale so you don't depend on what the manufacturer says each roller weighs. They're often wrong by a half gram per unit.

I'm using a +1200 RPM spring in Flash 3.26 carrying about 31-33 grams of rollers. Revs to about 10.4K RPM when I open wide. Fast enough to get out of its own way...

WHAT!!!!!!! No No No!!!!! If the center spring is stiffer(heavier as you put it) it makes the trans stay in a lower gear like its in 2nd gear for example. That's the same thing as running lighter weights. If your putting a stiffer center spring, most times your going to up the weights some unless they are already heavy to begin with

Tune by feel. Try to change the total weight adjustment no more than 1.5grams of total weight. If you can get it down to .5g of total weight change the better. You can miss the trans tune by 1.5g. The more mods done to the engine, the more sensitive the engine gets to changes. So tune by feel and scale your rollers.

Tuning carbs is tuning carbs, regardless of the maker of the carb.

They are all the same. Just the jet size they use number wise differ. So that's a bad excuss. You questions on rollers on what to use is another. If you honestly made your 01 go 72mph with the parts listed in your avatar, you wouldn't be asking for help. Be honest on the speed claims.
