why are you trying the electric start?

Kick starting always works better.

kick starting wouldn't work at all. i did get get a sputter when i was using the electric start.

i have a video on my phone of the way my piston fits into the jug. i think it way to loose but i would like to send it to one of the forum gurus. if some one could PM me their cell number so i could send the video to them it would be so awesome.

ok so i cleaned up the 46mm bore and put it back on. she idled great for about a minute then cut off. i tried to kick start her and she seized right up on me.

Greetings:

Sounds like the overheat warped the cylinder. It does OK until it warms up, then the piston grows too fat to get by the tight spot. Super-accurate bore gauge could confirm. Probably needs a bore to the next oversize to run now.

are you using just the stock oil pump to lube the motor?

using a stock oil pump and premix. i have a temp gauge now but that doesn't help the damage that is already done.

I would seriously be sure that oil pump was working, and if you haven't primed the oil lines all the way to the intake, it's just like you described. Seized up right after starting.
You can try it with all premix and just loop the pump back to the reservoir. :wink:
