28mm Carb Users: Look at This Part!

Post by z50r-ghost »

Hey all,

For the guys that are using 28mm carbs and a "flange" style intake manifold, (Stage6, KOSO, etc) look at this part:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Carburetor-Bill ... 1356wt_689

This is a billet aluminum flange that takes the place of the rubber flange on the intake manifold that is NOTORIOUS for cracking... This would solve the problem... It also has a rubber ORing seal. I can email him for the dimension details (looks like it would fit perfectly)

I have ordered from this eBay seller and have had great results. Shipping takes 10 days. Great prices, and the parts (and anodized finish) are amazing quality. Japanese-level stuff.

Just a thought... I had replaced my Stage6 intake manifold rubber flange twice due to cracking...

Later guys, j

It will work on the 21, 24 and 26 carbs too.

Kyle,

Actually Bear is correct; the flange will work on ALL of the Keihin PWK "D-Slide" (OKO) type carbs from 21-28mm.

I just forgot to mention the fact it will fit on the other size carbs as well.

Keep in mind that an intake manifold (such as the Stage6) doesn't "care" what size carb is going to be put in the rubber flange; a 21mm thru 28mm fits...
This tells you that the outlet of the PWK style carbs is the same outer diameter. The Innerdiameter is what varies.

** I just noticed that the billet carb adapter in my link has been sold! **

-Maybe someone here on HS.net bought one... :?:

Again, don't let the fact that these parts are in Thailand worry you; I've spoken to *nuadthaiderm* (seller) quite a bit, and I personally am a repeat-customer. Parts always arrive to my mailbox in 10 days from Thailand.

The parts he sells are 100% TOP-NOTCH. The quality of the machining, fit & finish is amazing.
:2thumbs:

I have my 2nd "Air Funnel" arriving this week for my NS from *nuadthaiderm*

I actually prefer this seller's Air Funnels / Velocity Stacks over the Funnels I have bought from Takegawa Japan. The quality and finish is much better than Takegawa's design.

Hope this helps, j.

Hey Jamz,

Dam dude... Sorry bro; seemed like it would have been designed for the most common flange in existence.

Shoot me an email with the total you paid for it,
And I will buy it from you for the $ ya have in it.

I don't know if I'll ever find anything to use it on, but if all else fails I'll hang it around my neck.

Traffic, its not the manifold thats modified hehe
just widen up the flange holes with a dremel or mill, its got maybe 2 mm to the edge, this one i just eyeballed it untill it fit, then next batch i got is going to be done on a mill, then resold
