Is the af05 a direct drop in? It currently has the sb50

I have no direct experience, but extensive reading suggests your motor mount will need fabrication and possibly the shock needs relocation. EliteDio did this specific swap, along with others.

This is a bit of a bummer.

I picked up a 1990 Elite E , bought it site unseen as the price was right, and I like the body style better, and it isnt pink. I have the AF05 with the Malossi bbk and wheelman's ruckus variator ready to drop in. I was hoping to put that combo in the 1990 elite, however, looks like that is not going to happen. This is okay though, I like the mirrors better on the 1990 and will be swapping those over.

Looks like a pretty good condition 1990 Elite E will be for sale on the forum here soon.

i am in the process of this swap- i ordered a 2 inch longer rear shock and got the motor mount for an 87 nb50- i just needed to trim a little metal off to get it to fit into my frame, the rear shock should be relocated but it can be used with longer one-
