Okay I want to drill holes in my muffler, someone give me the best physical description that they can of where to drill. I am ignorant and don't know what an outpipe or downtube or anything like that is.

how i got alot more power and a better sounding engine

1. remove muffler
2. start bonfire
3. when fire dies down to mostly coals throw in the muffler
4. after fire goes out and muffler cools remove muffler from fire shake out muffler to remove nasties
5. on the end of the muffler that bolts to the engine grind off that evil washer that is welded in the pipe
6. find long drill bit that just barley fits in the tip of the muffler
7. drill out the baffles inside the muffler
8. replace muffler and reassemble bike

after i did ths my spree souded better and had a LOT more power

Yep, I've been telling people about that for a while now. It's an easy way to decarbonize the muffler.

I'm working on a custom expansion chamber exhuast for my Elite now. I'm doing calculations, and learned the hard way (at least on scrap) that no matter how low of current and how small of rods you use, you just can't weld the metal thin enough for an expansion chamber with a stick welder. :D I'm looking at buying a used Miller MIG welder soon, which should be able to weld as thin as 24 ga sheet metal. :D If the sheet metal is cheap enough, I'm going to mess around with a few custom pipes, and fine out which design works best, and get a set of dimensions for making one for an Elite that people can have.
