What is the Difference between an af27 and af28?

Ive been looking at pictures and looking all over online and I cant find much... and ?I Was trying to look on here to find the codes/numbers for all the bikes. ... Ive been ordering alot from the japan auctions but right now im gonna start ordering Super Dio stuff..

Af27 and af28 are both Super Dios but the af28 is called Super Dio ZX which comes with front disc brake, yellow headlamp and rear LED spolier, other than that both are identical. There is also an SR version, comes with front disc brake, white head lamp and rear luggage rack instead of a spoiler. Hope that helps.

Block wise only difference is what year it was produced. What did sanjuru have to say about them? Hes definitely more on the up and up with the variances than most of us. Munstah has some cool stuff as well.

Munstah has got the main things down.

Additionally,

-forks are upgraded on the ZX
-better rims
-different steering tree
-more aggressive cdi
-slightly different wiring harness
-small variance in frame detail
-ZX models had unpainted fuel tanks
-different exhaust
-different speedo gauge
-different stator
-ZX transmission with larger diameter shivs
-longer drive belt

now i agree with all of what sanjuro wrote but not the cdi i have a af27 cdi and a af28 zx cdi and both are the same .also the same cdi in my jap niftyfifty (spree) all have the same part number.

The CDI on the af27 is usually smaller in physical dimensions. Maybe you have the Dio SR CDI?

definitly dio zx af28 bought it in japan .Even a honda pal i have has the same cdi .Its a jap pal with the spree motor but with a 3 roller variator .

Post a pic of your CDI. I'd like to see which one you have.

Below is a pic of a Super Dio ZX af28 cdi. It should have the two connector plugs on the underside.
