Picked this 01 Elite SR up today.

been thinking about getting another scooter as I am want to do when the sun starts shining in Oregon and was going to buy back my old Spree when this popped up and I couldnt pass it up. 01 elite SR 3rd owner first owner was a little old lady who lived in a trailer park. has 7K on it and still runs strong. needs some cosmetic work but overall in great shape. I am excited to finally have a scoot that I can actually wrench on with out much fabrication. will post up more pics when the rain stops. but for now

I swear maybe one in 7 of the elites up here are SRs.

The rest are the restricted Ps that never seem to be as fast as the SRs even when all of the supposed restrictions are pulled.

bI paid $600 for it. I took it for quick ride yesterday and pulls hard but is struggling on the top end. Cruising 30 on low tires and probably old gas and was smoking like chimney. Hasn't been ridden in a year. So might need a tuneup. And would be interested in the plastic for sure graphite9 also looking for a good variator and rollers taking suggestions for roller size. Like the torque but need speed out here in the burbs so I don't get creamed. The plastic piece I need is the front fender according to the manual I might need something else also havent much time to really inspect it. the guys young daughter decided to take it for a ride and made it 10ft before running into a fence post that was cut off. I sent you an email bought variator.

My 99 sr is a sa50p and flies like the wind. Not sure if it was ever restricted.

yeah I am excited to get it tuned up and actually have some sunny days to ride it. riding a spree for as long as I did I couldnt believe how much low end these have. I know the top end will come around with a tuneup and a new variator and a few other goodies. thinking BBK this winter when I cant ride it. my goal is 45-50 with daily driver reliability. just spent the last 2 day reading everything I can find on the Elite and coming up with ideas.

Im about to go take mine out to gps it as I finally have time but Im pretty sure Im cruising well over 45-50 and still the stock cylinder and gears. Im charging it up right now. 6 Months old Tom Tom and it holds a charge for 15 minutes, better never use it as a pedestrian unless Im walking across the street from the hotel.

what did you do to yours? ive read so many different post about mods its crazy but still curious what is working on yours and how reliable is yours running? the reliability part is important to me as I dont have the time to be constantly wrenching and thats one thing I havent seen many people talk about with there mods.

If 50.7 is all you got out of 9.1s then my stock geared and cylinder 99 is a pure beast. I didnt even do a full top speed run because its chillier than I thought. Just rolled down the street as far as my tearing up eyes could stand, this is no down hill or wind at my back.

Still thinking bout getting my old spree back. Loved that thing just not sure if I want to put that money into the elite of not. Hate to see that bike go to a bad home.

Ya Im 100% sure its a stock cylinder and gears. I took a video of the gear ratio in my "build thread".
The App is a free one for iPhones and so far it rocks, its called "speedometer"! I was thinking surely it will suck but hey Im not really doing any work down loading it. It turned out to be pretty sweet.
Stick with the SR unless you get the spree and put the SR engine on it.
