Re: high speed rated tires
Needed to have a tire with speed rating higher than J for running at Bonneville.
Re: high speed rated tires
Let me know how the tire fairs after the run. It's hard to find a true 65+ 10" tire. I ran the sl26 and s1s but they're not l rated. It's what keeps me from doing any kind of real speeds on my elites. My zx50s use 130/90 12 Pirelli diablos that I wish they had in 10s.

Re: high speed rated tires
Here's a P rated continental. I've run the conti-twist sports on my ch80 before. Absolutely loved them on the street but tread wear was quicker than the conti zippy's I usually run. Unfortunately the smallest tire the conti-twist race comes in is 3.5x10, which I believe may be a touch too big if your planning to install them on an af16/af05.

Re: high speed rated tires
This kind of statement is no help at all. I've used Kendas a lot, with no problems at all, at speeds up to 65. It's a big company in Taiwan.LoveMyHonda wrote:Stay away from kendas, metezler me1 90/90-10j are great.
Why did you say "Stay away from Kendas."
Re: high speed rated tires
Because kendas are extremely known for cupping and at higher speeds that's down right dangerous. Near all the kendas ive used have gone to junk within 2-3k miles. While you may be willing to risk your life with them i am not. Personally speaking I will never use them again. That's the help I was giving. Thanks for your concern.
