porting advice please!!

Post by GingerVision93 »

hi guys i am after some advice on porting my vision motor but i want to keep it 49cc i have done some mild two stroke porting before on my other bikes but i have never touched a scooter before. my inlet ports seem to be quite restricted by the skirt of the barrel/jug am i right in thinking i should take that away to allow it to breathe a bit more any porting advice would be much appreciated.

Here is what I like to do to stock cylinders. Image
Take away all of the casting imperfections and transition everything nicely. Then finish it all with with the Stone to get the right texture on it. Raising the exhaust port a little will really help wake it up along with opening it up a bit and improving the transition from rectangle to round .. Have a lookaat the intake tube as well they usually have wacky casting flaws and are way too shiny. The intake windows on the block always need better transitioning as well. Here is a spree intake for example. Image

the stock exhaust is the biggest restriction on that scooter.

the stock transmisson needs to be addressed before the butt dyno numbers change.
