What possibly could you mean by this? More aggressive fins would, to me, seem to draw more air.

ive heard stories that they shatter.The plastic they are made of is china quality lol .

just to add, been running a gutted air shroud for years, on multiple dio setups. never had a problem with fan breaking or anything flying in. thru multiple downpours too

scoop looks cool tho

Decided to make my own as well. I sanded down a 3in corner pvc pipe to fit inside the shroud and stick out. I painted it black and screwed it in after I took the photos.
