50mph with a quick launch? thats it?

dude your thinking way to big. A dio motor can do that easy. like 50mph is nothing for a dio.
LOL, i didn't say i'm gunna bo buy a motocross bike and do this swap tomorrow, I was just merely asking about it.

Well i'm all about admitting when i'm wrong lately. :) Just looked on malossi's website and thier 13.8:1 compression aluminum race replica 72cc big bore kit for the yamaha jog is only rated at 8.8hp. They have a 15.8:1 compression ratio kit, no power levels were posted.

I read somewhere that the polini corsa 72cc bore kit with their 12mm crank could do 24hp, but that sounded like extreme all out stuff. that is a bullsh!t!

From this link
http://www.sip-scootershop.com/Products ... c+MHR.aspx

And yes I understand that this website is selling this product so they have reason to lie about power output; however, this mhr bore kit has a 15.xx:1 compression ratio.

It's not how much power u have, it's what you do with it.
I ride a Kawasaki KX85, she goes 60-70mph without any trouble.

You can buy a used Ninja 250 for under $1500, and probably be a lot safer at speeds over 60 MPH.

Greetings:

2008 Ninja 250 is a good choice. In an almost supernaturally clairvoyant move, Big Green totally re-did the littlest Ninja last year. Anticipating the fuel price jump to be the only player in the 250 supersport arena. For a while you couldn't get one. Fuel prices have gone down, but does anyone believe they'll stay there?

BTW Cycle World tested it last year. I don't remember the specs but top speed was "only" near 90 IIRC. It goes 110 only in its wettest dreams. However it will go 75 for as long as there's fuel in the tank.

75 is fine with me. I don't want to buy my first motorcycle and have a 600cc or 1000cc crotch rocket. I'm smarter than that. The ninja 250 looks sweet and has low power. Plus all the reviews i've read said its an awesome starter bike. 8)

Well, while were on the subject of ninja 250's...how much are they new there in the states?

I don't want to buy my first motorcycle and have a 600cc or 1000cc crotch rocket. I'm smarter than that.
Haha, I'm not smarter than that...I wanna 600cc, but my dad wants to keep me alive so he wont let me......so i guesse i'll have to settle for a ninja 250 instead of a 600 with ~125 open up the throttle and die HP.

Used you can find a 2008 for 3000-3500. New I think they're like close to 4000 after all the dealer fee BS.
