Honda Elite 50cc Frame with China GY6 150cc possible?
Nice to see after all these years that I've had my Honda elite 50cc in storage, that more sites have come out in the main stream. My question is that lately the Honda Ruckus are all the new rave with people now, and the Ruckus folks have been doing the gy6 150cc swaps for sometime. I'd like to know has anyone pulled off the Gy6 150cc Conversion into a Honda Elite 50cc frame yet? If so i'd like to see a link.

Why would you swap out your Dio engine for a China based cloned engine? You can make your Dio go much faster than the 150cc GY6.
Those Ruckus dudes with 150 swaps usually hit around 70mph and are less reliable.

IF he's got a dio. could be an E, in which case it's just a glorified spreebradthreee wrote:

Greetings:

Clarifies the mud, a little.
Be advised that strokers, even in experienced hands, are a good bit more fragile than the respected cranks Honda-san hath wrought. For a couple reasons:
A: It's hard to match the quality of the Honda's steel and the precision of his milling, and
2: A longer stroke results in higher piston speeds, increasing the demands on the lubrication and cooling systems. Not saying it can't be done, but our Hawaiian brothers have lots of experience building these, and it doesn't stop them from grenading quite a few of them.
There are a number of stroker kits I've seen for your later Elite SA/16 (Engine code AF16E). The cylinders have port heights and conrods matched to the stroke. You buy a matched kit.
Whichever way you go, break it in with a main jet that borders on 4-stroking, then jet down one size. And lots and lots of oil.
