Remember that you are working with a 49cc engine and while you can build power & compression, it needs to be transferred to the trans & final drive unless you access to a cnc machine to custom fabricate some gears you are limited!

Did you know there are 2 different gear sets used for Spree? A 13T pinion and a 12T, I believe, with a matching larger gear. I believe the lower ratio (faster) was used '87 only. The ratio is published in the Spree service manual, a check of Honda parts shows a different set of p/n for these gears.

Not really, as most most scooters have a 12t ratio but every gram that you can plus/ minus in a 2 stroke creats power, just do it the right way.
