My question is, "Did you just connect the line from the oil tank to the line from the petcock to the carb?" If you did, how do you shut off the fuel to the carb as the needle and seat are not reliable for stopping fuel leaks.

yes bear thats what i did, but i put in a inline fuel shut off petcock, you know when you open under your seat, and theres a small little door right above the head..... simply replace the stock crappy button thing or what ever its called with a small nut and bolt..... no dont tighten it all the way, this makes it much easy'er to get down there.... and you put the shut of petcock right there in the extra tank's line....

50mm bore poli
9:1 gears
8.5 rollers
28mm V8 exhaust
24mm carb (45,130jets)
ct intake
and i still only go 35-40mph
Something fishy here. A Dio with 80cc BBK (50mm bore) and stock carburetor should do 60mph with only a few drivetrain mods. If it's running clean, I suspect that your primary variator pulley might be the stock one. With an aftermarket variator pulley and wider 17mm belt, you should be getting to at least 50mph. But with a stock pulley and stock 15mm belt, you'll be stuck at 40mph. The 17mm belt will ride at the outside of the variator pulley (faster), but the 15mm belt will ride about 5mm in from the outer edge (slower). I always think it's nuts to bypass the Dio oil pump since it easily puts out enough oil for an 80cc BBK.

More lies :jack:

Stock gearing will not reach 60mph unless your engine revs past 13,000 RPM :*:

50mm bore on a stock crank = 82cc (I know , I know......math make your head hurt

Honda made the pump supply enuff oil for 50cc not 82cc :nerd:

Adding a little oil to the tank is a good idea. JJ is not going to buy you a new engine after his "GOBS OF BAD ADVICE" blow up your engine.

40 MPH is still too slow.....

Use a sharpie marker to draw lines on the face of your variator, so you can tell how far up your belt is going.

What center spring are you using?

make sure the float is set at 3/4 inch from the carb deck to the bottom of float with the needle spring not compressed. This happened to me my carb was not able to supply enough fuel when It ran high rpm. My oko came set at 1" way off from what it should have been.

What are you talking about? Clip position?

He is talking about the float height setting. Hold the carb body upside down and measure from float bowl flange surface of the carb body to the now top of the float (normally the bottom of the float).

just like the pic shows but the float setting is supposed to be set holding the carb at about a 45deg angle so that the needle is just touching the seat. You will see a little pin on the needle that is spring loaded, make sure it is not compressed when you set the float hight. You set it by bending the tab that pushes the pin up in the seat.

If the spring compresses from the weight of the float, it is bad and you need a new needle.
