I tried using a 28to1 mixture and the bike ran crappy. tried all types of jet settings and different size needles to clear it up. didnt help till I switched to a 32to1 mixture and BAM!!! ran like a champ and never looked back. podiumed every race since.
So can the same apply to a bike that runs crappy @ 32:1? Maybe need to do like 36:1 or 40:1?

if you haven't tried different jet setting and needles and needle settings then yes try and thin the mixture some. most time 32to1 is pretty much spot on. if your adding a little more oil then what 32to1 would come out then that can mess with your jetting some. what issues are you having now?

Bogging pretty much throughout the throttle range. Its very slight, but enough for me to feel.

I dont feel comfortable leaning the needle nor pilot anymore since temps are good, reliable...

Seems that the 50 pilot in there is just right since it doesn't spike when I let off the throttle. For the needle im running 1 leaner than the middle. I even lowered the main 1 size since the needle taper goes into the main.

Also cant get the float level, it keeps coming out the drain...

that right there might be causing your bogging. bend the tab a little more to lower the float level. it might be to high. or look to see if the float needle is bad. you will need a magnified glass to look at it.

The wieghts aren't causing the dying when I give it a little throttle after I let it cool a bit though. I figure I'll leave the weights in there now, I just wanted to make sure it wasn't the engine or the carb that has the issue with it. All I have for other wieghts are the polinis with the black plastic sleeves which I hear flat spot pretty easily

It's a trailtech tto gauge. I accidently got the 12mm sender for it so I dremeled it out so the spark plug would fit it

check to see if the cap is loose. you need to take that rubber boot off and put the cap on the sparkplug. there is a wire in the cap that hold on to the threaded part of the spark plug. that wire will wear and the cap will become loose. check that. also check the wires that go to the coil. if those connector are not tight to the blade from the coil, that will make it misfire to. also check the ground wire that come from the stator. I didnt tighten mine once and it made the bike die while riding and run like crap.

-I cant get the boot on with the corsa under the shrouds so i havent been running with it.
-I checked all the spark plug wires and they are fine
-Stator ground? If i remember right there is one blue/white wire the comes from the pulse coil but i dont remember hooking up a staor ground.
Kinda odd cause i assume the bike wont fire without it. I'll check.

I also pulled the plug again and its not cardboard colored, it still looks rich. So ill be grabbing more spark plugs.

Looking around for spark plugs and found this good deal online.
Garvis Honda wanted $38 bucks for 10 of the bpr8hsa's.

Found 'em here for $1.70 a plug :2thumbs:

I'm having trouble finding the stator ground though. Ik its the white wire but the only white wire i see is coming from the engine bundle and gets connected to the spree wiring harness. Is this the ground? If so its fine cause i replaced all the connectors when i wired it up.

its a green wire. try and use b8hs plugs. zero resistance vs any of the plugs with R in it 5.4 ohms.if its fouling down low. drop the pilot jet 1 step.

for a 28 at least a 52 pilot minimum. if your getting that high of a temp then up the main till the temps come down to around 370. up the pilot first and up the main 1 size up.
