My aero 80 reed stopper was really restricting the flow, I don't know if the stopper is necessary for the the stock reeds or not, the boyesn two stage reeds and carbon reeds run with out a stopper. Bend the stopper so you you can fit a business card between the stopper and the case you want that flow.

Here is the boost port on a 89cc Dio jug. I don't know if your motor has this. Don't change the port on the jug; you open the matching port on the block so they're a matched pair. You need to disassemble the block to do this since the aluminum shavings get into every little crack. I wouldn't change any of the ports on the cylinder unless you're a PhD in 2-stroke design since that changes the timing, and you could end up with something useless. Matching the boost port can be done without the PhD

You don't need a stopper if you're racing, tearing down and rebuilding engines every week. The reeds Curve, as opposed to Fold, over the curved stopper. This reduces the tendency for cracking along the fold line, letting the reeds last longer.
