Never hold a 2 stroke engine at WOT for more than 15 sec. change your gear ratio for more top end, also if you can afford a stage-6 clutch it bites hard off the line.

I saw you post this n another thread, why can't you hold a 2 stroke wot for more than 15 seconds? What scientific thing happens to the engine/carb or other part that makes this a bad idea?

Well maddog was right, I went out and did a 30 second WOT run with the elite. I wasn't ready for the wheelie in the video below. I wouldn't say I almost dumped it, but it was fun.

After doing several 30 second WOT runs I hard some racket coming from the trans area. I pulled over and discovered the next video, UH OH.

So Maddog was right, if you hold WOT for more than 15 seconds, your intake will shake itself lose from the gobs of power you're making.

So this could be the cause of my weird WOT Top Speed slowly leaning out issue perhaps.

Any reason not to use lock-tite on the intake bolts?

Agreed! Luckily it didn't blow up. I didn't notice any movement when I was re-jetting it yesterday. Must have just vibrated itself loose.

I torqued them to factory spec when I initially put it together, then I retorqued them with the exhaust bolts and the head bolts after I drove it about 100 miles. I'll try the red locktite and also check the head and exhaust bolts again.
