Not hard at all, but hammering is no good, you need constant force to break the bolt loose.
It rusts in the bushings and sometimes in the mount it's self

Is there any easy way to see if my block is cracked?

Most times it's gonna break around the bushings in the case

so the crack would be very evident, something that i could see with my bare eyes?

Or could be hair line I would tap it softly and see if there is tone difference between to the 2 sides, typically a hollow sound is cracked
a solid thud is not cracked
