I bought a used 21mm oko awhile back and the tab was bent, just needed to bend it to correct position and was good to go.

junk the vari asap stock vari's suck bad. flat ramps limited compression, hard to tune, email vt cycles and get the cheep dio vari they sell. I put 5000 miles on a $45 vari from them it looks like new still and works great. It's like adding nos compared to a stocker

Please explain how flat ramps limit compression or for that matter have anything to do with compression?

ive pretty much had every problem, you can think of with my 50mm bbk... i even went as far as getting a mini stroker, made a huge difference. the cylinder opens the ports all the way now... not saying thats what you need, but its a option... problems i ran into ct intake came loose in back under fan shroud, v8 pipe doesnt seat right on bbk fixed with permatex.. not sure if you got any clutch springs in, but i suggest try stock first then install center tune weights, then clutch springs tune weights... im running 9.5 weights in mine and alot of people think thats to much, but its runs great...
