i don't need one but i have a friend that has one ill take them over there to weigh then .. this thing is from a scrap yard and not sure if some one has put new ones in and try to do a up grad ....

it wood be a grate help to me for getting parts and other thing..
i went to the Honda dealer for rings and this inof and got no were ..
just got mad needed year and make ...
its a dealer that is use on here and there not real helpful ..
guess there not anuff prof in selling rings to wast there time trying to finger it out...

i went to babbet.s and this was my 3 time there for parts and i no some of you guys go to there on line spot .. i live about 2 miles from them .. that was there 3 stirck for then .. i seem to find the dumest help to get parts for me there so im going to a diffident dealer.. a dealer that dose Honda's and not ever brand but Harley-Davidson ..

i was reading on here the post about MONSTER Spree and bear said that (( The reed stops are also restricting the air flow. )) i do think hes right im thinking taking off the stop or bending then back more is this a good thing or with stock reeds go bad ??? because there steal and not i think they have carbon fiber reeds ??

The malossi bbk from redeftperformance has carbon reeds in the kit it also has carbon reeds for the sb50 reeds

well i just put those to the scale 3 at 7.5 and 2 at 7.4 and one at 7.3 boy if there light compard to what we figer he didnt get munch top end but what he did have he got to it fast .

You really shouldnt mess with the reed stops when using metal reeds.

do you bevel that the reeds hit the stop at 3/8 in at max rpm?????

I would say at high rpm the reed is hitting the stop. If you bend the reed stop with the metal reeds there is a very good chance you will loose power. The metal reeds will become unstable at high rpm making the reed unable to seal the fuel mixture in the crankcase. "Reed flutter"
fiber reeds will help but
Honestly alot more power can be made without even touching the reeds. If staying 50cc then a proper exhaust,cylinder porting,transmission tuning, will be how your going to increase rpm and power. If your not staying 50cc then get a BBK and tune your carb/transmission. If you want more after BBK then you can do exhaust, porting, bigger carb ect. Have fun.

Both of you have ZERO knowledge of 2 stroke engine dynamics. At high RPM the reeds NEVER close. If you could get an engine to start without reeds, it would run fine without them at higher speeds, generally above 1/2 to 2/3 WOT.

Get red efts malossi bbk great performance and power ive got one on my dj1 with a ct intake and 21mm carb and modified dio expansion chamber exhaust and it goes hard real hard cant full throttle off the line it just does wheelies
