Dang ol' Detective Dac caught Toasty and me red-handed in a conspiracy to uplift MadDog. We both went out separately and purchased ourselves those clutch bearings, took photos, and then falsely claimed they were sent by MadDog. Only Dac saw through the ruse.
I KNEW IT! ! ! !

But for real, Bravo Maddog. i really didnt think you would do that...
I agree with Dac, I really didn't think you would come through. I apologize for being somewhat of an * to you.

I still wanna see some pics of your rides though 8)

Immaculate Aero

Post by Wheelman-111 »

Greetings:

I am embarassed by that Aero. Flash's pathetic cosmetics pale in comparison. No 22-year-old has looked that good since the pre-Baby Britney. :)

Contra Spring Saver Report

Post by Wheelman-111 »

Greetings:

Thought 'twas about time to give Props to The MadDog for his generosity. He is a man of Honor. As a reward for co-winning Two-Stroke Trivia Quiz, this arrived: (* your head a little or rotate monitor...)

The Contra spring saver mounted up on freshly-recon-ed stock pulleys.

Dem Balls is it. Two races and a layer of balls = slightly increased contra spring preload = may need to juggle variator weights again. Peak WOT mid-speed RPM 8000 before, 8400 now - maybe a bit beyond Polini power peak.

Only 30 miles since install, already 2 things I like about it:

1: Instant midrange thrust. It used to struggle for a couple seconds before gaining RPM. Now accelerates without hesitation. Has to do with the contra spring getting "wound up" without bearing.

B: Techno-sounding melodic metallic sound from leftward aft whenever on accel/decel mode. . Not obnoxious or alarming, just ZZZIIINNNGG! when da pulleys do dey ting.

Awaiting chance for sustained WOT to see what effect a balanced spring has on top end.

Get one or lose roll-on contest to Flash's paltry Polini 65.
