WILL IT WORK?

I HEARD IF YOU PULL THE EXHAUST OFF A SPREE AND MAKE A CUSTOM HEADER FOR IT IT WILL RUN LIKE CRAP BECAUSE IT RUNS OFF OF BACK PRESSURE. IS THIS TRUE?AFTER FINDING OUT ABOUT THAT AIR CLEANER I GUESS ANYTHING IS POSSABLE.

It will run like crap if you don't know what you're doing. It will also run like crap if you just remove it. Why, interested in building a custom expansion chamber and trying it? I have a design for you if so. Uses the stock downpipe as a replacement for the muffler. Haven't had time to try building it.

The Spree definitely requires a specific amount of back pressure. If you change the exhaust length, diameter or expansion chamber area, you have to tune the intake air and fuel mix, in addition to the compression. The bottom line is that it is simply not worth trying.
As I've stated before, if there were a kit that truly worked, it would be on the market and the designer would be raking in megabucks.

it because of people like you that no body will make aftermarket stuff for our sprees. lots of mods work. i have done them. i wish i hade the money to invest in mass production of tuner parts. i would make a killing.

I have mine running a straight pipe and it is fast as *.

I think it is running better with just a straight pipe

that wouldnt make sense. 2strokes require a balance of backpressure to run their best. with a straight pipe you lose all back pressure and performance.

A straight pipe shouldn't work on a 2-stroke. 2-strokes require a backpressure wave to close up the exhaust port to make them work. Now, if you terminated the straight pipe with a convergent cone down to 1/2" ID, that would be getting closer, but an awfully peaky torque curve.

If you knock in all of the baffles in the muffler parts and leave it just open would it give your spree any more power or would it just sound louder?

if u take the baffles out it will give you extra power. but you must keep the 1/2 in. tail pipe.

will it work

How do you take the baffles out of the muffler without taking apart the acutal muffler?

You can either drill 4 - 1/4" hole around the outpipe, or saw the back 1/4 (or so) of the muffler off.
