oh how quickly i grow tired of your completly worthless remarks.maddog wrote:47mm kit with a stock crank= you will learn the hard way on how not to build an engine...
hows' about you start the "maddog's guide to" thread.
i've never heard you say that ANYTHING is good, or right.
just being worthless and ripping on people for no good reason.
all i want is a simple explanation of WHY a stock crank won't work with a 47mm kit. possibly a civil suggestion of a better setup for a stock crank. the polini kits from daywot say "STOCK CRANK OK!!!" in huge print right in the description. i doubt that this kit makes more power than the polini.
i beleve that your scooter will put mine to shame. i beleve that you probably have the knowledge and the vocational skills. why not share them????

Thanks for asking.elitedio wrote:Pibb; How did your new engine turn out?
It has turned out well so far. In retrospect i could have done a better job porting and polishing the bore - still could go back and rebuild i suppose. Running with about 165 psi compression. Currently slowly breaking her in. It is difficult to get much done during the week, so the weekends make for many small trips on the scoot. You can follow the build on the scooter build page under the madmax - just got the gears in this week.
Thanks for reading.

Re: Unboxing a CMR 47mm AF05 BBK
i wouldnt worry too much about running a stock crank with a 47mm AF05, both of mine get run very hard, ive had my aero running the malossi cylinder for almost 2 years, no problems at all. the af05 is limited with exhaust selection, with the Leo Vince sp3, it doesnt get 9k, so its like a built in governer, if you found a way to make it turn 10k+, then be worried.

Greetings:
Scooterwerx won't steer you wrong. I had the same experince with Flashes 1 and 2 over 1500 miles of abuse and frequent tuning errors. 9K was max on mine as well with the LV pipe. I do wish someone would score that Malossi exhaust, install and share results.

Guys;
Is the porting similar with sb. I seem to recall seeing the std engine with AF05 on the case. Thanks.

Greetings:
Don't get me started on that AF05 thing. Weird City on those completely different engine cases but the same AF05 code stamped on the Tranny cover. See "What Engine Code Did You SA" for further obfuscation.
