All of it minus what come in the aftermarket dio gear kit of you choice.
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.

I've been watching this thread for a while now (my post count definitely doest show it) but am I correct in saying that this would work for a NB50 as well?

Aren't the SE50 and NB50's motors nearly identical?

It would work in a 86-87 NB50, maybe a 85.

Awesome, thank you... I've been talking to VT about it this past week, but wanted to get clarification before ordering parts.

Lots of great info on this board, did I mention the search function has been my best friend?

Thanks again...

i would need to order part number 7. Have the gear on it removed, and then press on the new 8.4 (or whatever) gear. Then take the shaft that comes with gear set machined down to take the splines off, and have the stock se50 gear (part 6 in the picture) pressed onto it?

am i on the right track?

When PimpinSpree mentioned ordering part #7, does that include the axle shaft, or is that just the gear?

You only need the shaft, the gear on it and gear 5 are replaced in a gear change

I see... So looking at the link I posted, if I ordered the gear would it include the shaft? I don't see a place on any of the parts sites to order just the shaft without the gear.

Am I safe to presume if I order the gear, the shaft will be included in part #7?

Due to the fact that they are pressed together im assuming they count as one part.

When you order gears from VT, what exactly do you get?

How does the gear that goes on the axle come on and off? From the looks of the picture on page one, it doesn't show how it comes off (such as on the earlier models).
