You may want to put a longer and stiffer shock on to prevent bottoming out on the pipe because of the angle it sits at.
Any suggestions on where to find a shock or maybe another thread that discusses shocks? I've thought of about getting one anyways since i'm definitely heavier than the average 1987 japanese person.

Finally started fitting my wild lion. Good News! The head pipe clears the fan cover. Bad News! The wild lion comes in two pieces and where the chamber pushes into the head pipe the weld is slightly too big for me to push it in far enough to reach the two exhaust mounting holes. Probably be grinding some of it off tomorrow and should have some pics. This means some grinding, cleaning, sanding, more cleaning and finally paint. Just got a huge vise mounted on my work bench. Maybe I'll get it on a little tighter tomorrow and not have to grind with a little help from my vise.

Unreal to see the sized of this thing relative to the stock pipe on the motor. Also mounted a 24mm carb. The cylinder is dwarfed by all these new parts

Fitted the exhaust completely yesterday. Having trouble getting pictures small enough to be allowed on this site. Had to widen the bottom mount hole 3/4 in to get the bottom bolt in which I didn't want to do but was not hard and doesn't compromise the strength of the mounting bracket.

Ground off part of the fan cover but probably didn't have to in hindsight. The cover was in the way when you move the exhaust into place but once its in there the cover is just to the right of the exhaust bracket. Probably could unbolt the cover let it float off to the right between the head pipe and fan and then move it into place once the exhaust is on.

you can change those settings on your digicam or you can use a program like irfanview to resize them by percentages, pixel, or inches and cm.

Change the setting on your camera from the monster pics you are taking now, probably 2272 X 1704, to something reasonable like 1600 X 1200 or better yet 640 X 480.

Hey look a 5 year old thread being revived!

So I'm in the market for a new exhaust after my exhaust plopped off a table and a tab to the connection port snapped off...

Oem exhaust seem easy to find on the bay, but want to take this opportunity to upgrade. My question is...what are some more recently available options? I am a proud owner of an 87 Aero btw. I read briefly that the speed fight 2 exhausts fit, so I was looking at the Tecnigas silent pro. Was wondering if anyone has personally used these on an Aero and if it fits right off. Also see they have a Honda Vision silent pro which looks a little more realistic based on the flange connection. Would prefer a plug n play solution rather than modifying, as my metal skills are Dremel based, not a welder or anything.

Also do the silent pros really affect the sound? A switch from a * off weed whacker to something else could be nice, but that's part of these bikes' charm I suppose. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks!

I actually was just looking at that! I pm'd him about the mirrors as well. Are those going to be the best bang for my buck? I was looking in the 120 range with the Tecnigas being in there, but if it's worth the extra, I may raise a little more and go for it. Thx!

Scooterswapshop makes a pipe for the af05e that works very well with stock or big bore kitted af05e. Service is amazing and parts are priced to sell. Also scooterswapshop pipes are made in the USA by a very skilled maker.

Went that route and got the SSS pipe second hand. Holy crap it's a beaut! Sounds amazing and fits perfectly.
