Anyone have any opinions on this bore...

i've seen it on ebay for a while now... just kinda makes me think how insane a water cooled DIO spree would be

not sure of the quality of the so-called POP company... anyone ever hear of them or use their parts before?

pop i havent heard of but the prodigy name i have,and they do produce good parts. and if you look through the builds section somebody built a liquid cooled"monster". ok so i cant find the link. maybe somebody knows right where it is if its still on here.

high maintenance repair work on watercooled, carry extra belts, v- bushings, rear driven clutch.
The yamaha jog will blow away big stroker dio.

If going over half throttle , It will lift front wheel up in the air. not like 72cc.
after you finish riding big stroker, eyes get watering ROFL

so prodigy makes high quality parts, good to know.

and the high maintenance i assume is just because there is more power than the belt/bushing/clutch is made to handle

That cylinder is the $hit to run.Prodigy bought Pop out .The old pop brand parts are real good.If your going to put the 52.6mm crank in,make sure you get the con rod pin welded and get the crank balanced.That bore if tuned good will some times twist the crank at the pin.With the right setup you can see 80+mph speeds no problem with that bore.If you do get that bore go with the 50mm or 51mm crank for more reliability.You just have to deck the cylinder to get the correct deck height.here is my mini stroke 50mm pop bore.This kit is very hard to get.

what gearing are you running with the 50mm stroker baka?

I haven't got a chance to fire up the engine yet.To cold for me right now to go in the garage to finish building the bike its going in.I'm just taking my time.I'm in no rush.I got 3 other bikes I can ride.Plus I have been playing with my 125cc engine thats in my 87 .every once in a while I go outside when its not raining and romp around the neighborhood and buss some roll on wheelies just for fun.I plan on using 8.5to1 gears on the 50mm mini stroke setup.Thats good for about a 70+ topspeed with lots of lowend still.

I want to see this thing. Sounds...dangerous. Doesn't 8.5 seem too short for all that power?

8.5's sound like that would still have some crazy low end.

i'm startin to take this into serious consideration... i wouldn't be wrappin on it all the time, i just like the thought of water-cooled for long term reliability

if i could only find a block to build this off of....

Nope! I like the 15-20mph roll on wheelies and topspeed will still be around 65-70 so thats fast enough.I rode a drag setup 96cc back in the mid 90's that ran mid 15's down the 1/4 mile with 9to1 gears with a 89mph trap speed.That motor was built by the shop I worked and rode for by a guy named Darryl Murai.He built some sick fast motors backk in the day and I learned alot from him.

I know I am a little late on this discussion but I have a 120cc elite that I built a little over a year ago and it is the cats * so to speak! I have 1,000 miles on it and it still runs very strong. Hitting the 80mph mark is not a realistic goal but low 70's is. I am running a 6.5 gear and gps at 72mph. I will say I have built 4 in the last year and they are more fun then any other big bore kit. The comments about reliability and maintenance is inaccurate in my opinion. I have had to do nothing at all! Never lost a belt or any failures to speak of. If you have the resources to build one it is a must do.

It all depends on how you tune the bike. you could tune it for daily use. or tune it for pure speed. but when your motor is that bike things will break easier since the trans wasn't made to handle a 120cc+ power. My friend has a 125 but he rides every day on it so he set it up to be reliable. allready the bearings are kinda bad. he like make it a 114 now. i also rode his 107. that was very fast but still more reliable so maybe try that size it you like one stroker but ride everyday hope that helps you in some way.
