honda aero 50 variator on a spree

Post by BIGGUYLITTLESCOOTER »

What are the factors of putting a variator from an Aero on the Spree. With some machine work could it not be done? Has anyone on the forum done this or have input. Please save all the swap engine comments or big bore comments I really just want to know what stops it from being done.

the variator might be too big, there'd definitely be some machine work involved. you might want to try a smaller variator out of a honda urban express or other old variated moped first.

The output shaft on the Spree motor is very small diameter compared to the variated motors. If I guy could machine an insert to go on the engine shaft, that would then allow you so mount the variator on, then every thing would be golden. But............
