1994 SR Elite Upgrade Path Help

Post by Fredas »

Hey everyone...

I bought my scoot a few years' back and it runs really well. I was fine with the 36 mph top speed for all that time too since I was using it as a commuter and I was riding less then a mile to work and back and it was all on streets @ 25 mph. However I am moving at the end of this month and will now have to drive across town (7 miles) to work one way...and the streets are 35 mph the majority of the ride. I, for obvious reason, do not want to be WOT the whole drive there and not have any freedom to go faster if needed. I would love to get the scoot to 45 mph, and if possible, do it without having to upgrade the size of motor. I have read articles about pulleys and gears, I have looked to find them online but I am not sure if they are the right ones. I am pretty much new to modding so I would like to start off cheap (under 100) and some what easy.

Can I get some help for some of you Vets? Thanks in advance.
