good score

Post by that guy »

I bought a af18e complete got it cheap the guy said it was seized got it hme took of the belt cover and found the kick start was jammed locking on to the end of the crank.I turned the crank and it turned over as it should. So i fixed the kick starter put the cove on kicked it over a few times and it felt real good then i wired it up 2 the nq following threads from here thanks for that made it alot easyer.I added some premix gas 32:1 hit the starter after a few cranks it fired up and ran like a champ WOW im so stoked justt got 2 mount it up get it moving then i can get some mods under way ill post some pics when i get some parts

Greetings:

Congratulations on turning "junk" into treasure!

What scooter was the engine's original home?

Greetings:

Honda-san gave up on certifying 2-strokes in the EPA-Infested USA with the 2001 Elite, which featured the AF16 block.
Dio midels overseas, and possibly Canada (?) Followed with the next-generation 18 engines. Some Gray Market US importers brought in Dios, but not sure what years used the 18, it varies by country anyway.

According to my engine cheat sheet, the AF18E engine was used in The SK50MJ and SK50MK also known as the DIO, which we made in 1988. It was also used in the SE50MSJ AKA DJ-1RR also in 1988.

I think the af18 was used into the mid 90's.

I keep hearing your bragging about racing, but the sad part is no one else on the planet has ever seen, heard or even heard second hand about you winning anything. So until you actually have proof of your race winnings . I will laugh at you because at this point I will claim my stock Spree as faster than anything you have and it GPS' out at 28.4 mph.
