nope. the bolt patterns are different. and im thinking even if it did bolt down the boost and exhaust ports would be all wrong for the storke of the spree. but its just a guess. sorry guys for not haveing all the correct answers.

Short answer = NO

The Intake transfers would not line up correctly.

The bolt spacing is actually the same.

After much delay I am getting ready to start on my 48mm BBK for my spree. I thought I might just join this discussion. I hope it is okay to field some questions here.

This project BBK will have a 17.5mm Arreche carburetor (flange type) sb50 reeds, expansion chamber (Daywot came up for me).

Of course the BBK came form Taz. My first question is about the piston. Would it help to open up a window in the piston like many other better performing 2-stokes have? If I understand correctly that is what you guys refer to the boost port side of the piston.

Also would it help to open up the schnuerle ports some? Well the little bit that jug and block will allow without grinding too much away from the sealing surface of the cylinder base gasket?

i think you should show a pic of this expansion chamber for the spree. we did not know of one except the one taz is working on.

The pipe is not for a spree. It for a one of the lower end Yamaha scooters of about the same vintage as the spree. I am going to have to do some pretty easy minor mods to bolt it up. It is made by Proma Exhaust Systems and has TDS1121196 and PCM74420 S PI stamped on the mounting bracket. I have searched online but have not found anything else about it. Sorry.

It would not be easy for me to send a picture right now but at some point I will gladly post a picture.

Any word on the Taz pipe? It has been at least 6 months since the talk began.
