BBK won't start

Post by sjleto »

Installed my 48mm bbk yesterday in my 86 spree and got it started and had it idling fine. Then I turned it off and can't get it to start now. The battery seemed dead so I charged that and it still wont start. Any suggestions? I followed all the instructions for the install and have the oil mix right.

what have you checked so far, i would start with the plug and see if it is fouled, then i would check for compression

By "Not starting" do you meant the starter will not crank the engine over or the engine itself will not start?

I would check the main fuse if the starter does not crank the engine.

His starter gets power from the battery and turns it over but not fast enough to make it fire. Im guessing it doesn't have enough to overcome the engine's higher compression. Kickstart is broke at the moment as well.
