Yo, did anyone see this? Is this legit? No case modding for a water setup? And does anyone know someone that has ran this kit?

I have that same kit but not from them. You still need the radiator, hoses and water pump. Also you have to make sure that you put a switch so you can turn off the headlight ,that way the battery can charge while riding. With all the lights on and the water pump, the battery will have a hard time charging.its even worst if you put cooling fans for the radiator. The added weight and hassle and cost is not worth it for using the 48mm kit. Your better off with your setup now.the aircooled polini corsa or malossi mhr make more power and is lighter.the wc kit adds another 20lbs of weight to the bike.

Does it work with a stock crank or ministroker crank?

Its for stock stroke crank. You can use it with a mini stroke but it has to be the 43.2mm one. But it will be at the port duration limit on the intake and need a pipe that will match it. If not your better off just using the stock crank.if you have access to a metal lathe then you can mod the head so you can use a mini stroke crank. Its not like a aircooled bore where you can add head gaskets so the piston doesn't slam into the head and to adjust your squish

I figured its a pain in the *. Why the * has no one ever came up with the Idea of running the small water pump off the oil injection gear splines on the shaft?

Well for starters, the area where the oil pump is located is to tight. Plus you risk melting the hoses on the exhaust. What they should have done is make a manual pump that runs off the mag side like how the minarelli engines have.

X2

:imo: Good Yamaha minarelli parts are at least twice as expensive at honda dio.

$1000 will hardly buy you much yamaha at all....good pipes for the minarelli start at around $350 cranks are $400 and up!

That's hardly enuff left to buy a quality bbk and a good carb :sad

yamaha's are expensive ......but well built one would probably out perform a dio of the same cc.
