Got out on the highway and whacked her wide open, gps read 60.2 mph when I let off and the pg was really starting to bark. Wow... is all I got to say
Temps slowly climbed up to 150c (302f), currently have a #130 but after this tank of gas, I will hold it at wot for 1 mile and may need to rejet....

Thanks for the help everyone
and thanks to VT cycles for the kit

60mph for $600 not bad

60 is close to max speed, its singin pretty high at that speed, dont hold it there thou

VT sent me two 1500k torque springs, had spring one in for about 100miles and it seems like my clutch is shifting before it should..... do those springs wear that fast?

anyone try a 2k spring? I have one :coolcruise:
havent tried it yet...

Greetings:

Flat-spotted rollers are more likely than a weak center spring at that mileage. Then again, no tellin' what the steel quality in the spring might be. Consider rounding the sharp edges of the ramp plate to extend roller life. The edge of the plate likes to "shave" plastic from the roller if it spends a lot of time near the rim.

There are those who believe a 2K spring can prematurely break the rear pulley welds. A 1000 works fine, just decrease the roller load to the 30-40 gram range.

Flat spotted rollers would make sense if they are sticking outward on the ramp. I am considering dropping to 7.5 gram weights, right now I have 8gram. I would like to keep the revs a bit higher, the bbk I have does not make any power at low revs.

What gram weights are you guys running with the corsa?

The Italian springs (polini/Malossi) tend to last longer than the taiwan springs

Its not the BBK that doesnt like the low revs. Its the 28mm carb and pg long.
