Over-carberating creates tuning issues making getting the mixture right harder and in my opinion that is why so many have extreme tuning issues. Honda on their CR80 dirt bike used a 24 mm carb for years and that is a true Hi-performance engine with a many geared transmission to help keep the motor in the power band. But a scooter does not have that advantage so you need to back down on the carb size to improve the low and mid range for improved street performance. Besides that just how much time do you actually spend at at WOT and max speed? A full race engine sucks as a street engine. FYI, I have 3 OKO carbs waiting for their intended scooter to reach the front of the to be worked on list. I also have 2 over-sized Keihin carbs waiting also for their scooter turn.

I have found that the stock exhaust is quite adequate for an increase on the intake side. Go with the intake and carb.

Get the 21mm OKO and CT Manifold.

Also get a roller kit of assorted weights for your variator.

And your also going to want to get an idle jet kit and the small main jet kit from treatland as well.

The 21mm works great when you get it going. I've got one on my corsa, so if you do decide to uprgade to a corsa it'll work just as well as it will on your contessa
