so do i want to run 70:1 premix wile breaking it in and after the break in?

if i run 50:1 premix there would be more oil just to be safe ,but why would that be a bad thing ..why would more oil be a bad thing ?

with a 32:1 total oil to fuel ratio will that prevent the bore from locking up?

Several reasons,

First, too much oil, smokes like *.

Two, too much oil does not all burn up completely, causing build up in the exhaust port and pipe and muffler. Eventually causing a plugged exhaust.

Three, Too much oil means less gas thru the main jet, causing a lean engine and a melted piston. All the oil in the world will not prevent a melted piston if the gas mixture is too lean.

With 32:1 fuel to air mixture you have enough oil to prevent any kind of mechanical lock up of the piston in the bore. In most cases a stuck piston is caused by a lean mixture which causes heat spikes. which melts the top of the piston. This spatters aluminum all over the cylinder and piston which sticks the rings and eventually the piston in the bore.

I have never used a different ratio for break in.

if im trying to get the total ratio as close to 32:1 witch is 4 ounces of oil to every gallon of gas wouldnt i want the premix to be 58:1 witch is a total of 4.034 ounces to every gallon of fuel including the oil pump?

if i went with a premix of 70:1 there would be less than 4 ounces of oil to every gallon it would be about 3.656 ounces of oil to every gallon total with the oil pump

if i used a premix of 50:1 there would be more than 4 ounces of oil to every gallon it would be a total of 4.388 ounces of oil to every gallon of gas with the oil pump

would i want to use 50:1 premix witch is a little more than 4 ounces of oil to every gallon . or would i want to use 70:1 premix witch is a little less that 4 ounces of oil to every gallon

or would i want to get it as posibly close to a total of 32:1 buy using a premix of 58:1 witch is very close to a total of 32:1

thanks,

Did you miss the part about it doses not have to be exact, just close because no one that mixes in the tank gets better than that.
