how to keep scooter in power band

the more i play with roller weights ive noticed that right after takeoff it has a slower accel. from 0~12 then 15 to 35 it really picks up and takes off is there a way to better keep the engine in its power band? i have the stock contra spring yet

Greetings:

If the grab springs are too stiff, the variator can begin to "shift" before the clutch even engages. Run with rear cover off if possible to check. Then either lighten the rollers or go back to softer triple springs.
