i just got a spree with a brand new 48 mm bbk on it that has 12 miles on it .. the guy i got it from said during the break in you should use 110 octane fuel
will 110octane help or hurt more than 91 octane .. what type fuel is recomended
what should the premix that i put in the tank be to use along with the oil pump
i have no instructions on this big bore kit and i dont wana mess any thing up so if there is any thing you can tell me that woud help out it would be greatly appreciated
how many miles do i break it in for and how fast do i go while breaking it in
also do i have to use a special type oil while breaking it in ??
what oil is recomended while breaking it in? ,what type of oil is recomended after the break in
like regular or synthetic esc.
after the break in do i run premix and the oil pump or do i run gas in the tank and just the oil pump

Re: 48 mm big bore kit questions
The guy you got it from is an idiot. If the compression is high enough to require 110 octane fuel, you will melt the piston no matter what you do. Do a compression test and see what numbers you get. That will determine whether you need to add extra head gaskets to keep from burning it up.
If you are running the oil pump, your premix should be 50 to 1 at the heaviest and 70 to 1 preferably.
For break-in look here at the last paragraph;
http://hondaspree.net/wiki/index.php5?t ... it_Install
During break-in you should run the same good quality injection type 2 stroke oil you will use every day. Cheap oil will cost you more in the end that using good oil. Whether you use synthetic, dino or a blended oil is pretty much your choice, just don't use Walmart's cheap oil and DO NOT use TCW (I, II, III rated oils.
After break-in you should have a total oil to fuel ratio of 32 to 1, especially if you are using the stock carb with it's very small pilot jet.

should i use 70:1 over 50:1
they guy i got it from uses tcw-3 in the oil tank and in the premix...just wondering, why is it junk?? ..is gn2 oil made buy honda a good oil to use for the break in
after break in how will i determan that my over all fuel to oil ratio is 32:1

Re: 48 mm big bore kit questions
TCW-III not for air cooled engines. TCW stand for Two Cycle WATER cooled. Made for engine that have a cooling system with 143┬░ thermostats in them. Once again the PO proves he is a moron.

Re: 48 mm big bore kit questions
after break in how will i determan that my over all fuel to oil ratio is 32:1 ?
will i be safe useing 93 octane fuel ?
what number of compression would be to high to require more head gaskets ?
while breaking in what premix should i use 50:1 or 70:1 ?
