Tecnigas Next R pipe performance?

I have seen some of these pipes and they look pretty good especially the chrome ones. I was wondering has anyone run one of these pipes and do they give good performance? I have run a 28mm YMS V8 pipe on one of the scooters I build and was very happy with the performance and sound of the pipe. I kept the stock bore, added 9.1 gears and a polini variator along with upping the jet size and acheived 50mph out of that set up.

This time I plan on running a 70-72 cc bore kit, Ruima variator, larger carb, and 8.4 to 1 gear set. Would this pipe gibe me good performance compared to the others I see, PG long, YMS V8???

Iwould really appreciate any feedback on this Tecnigas pipe if anyone has run it.

THANKS

pg is the best performance wise out of those three you named. v8 is good for a quite bike. i wouldnt even bother with the tecnigas. but its your money in the end.

Thanks for the info

One reason I liked the V8 is because it wasnt too loud. Is the PG pipe considerably louder than stock?

Yes. It is far from being the loudest out there. Youtube has example that will give you a better idea.

another good pipe is the pg long copy. it has a sectional J section. pg's tend to blow the baffles and rattle. what bore kit are you going with? i would run the polini corsa.

I am not sure of the bore yet. I thought about the Ruima. I loke the Corsa but it is pretty costly. I see the Malossi for sale as well and that is probably a pretty good bore. I see alot of people running the corsa but $325 is a little pricey.

What is the name of the PG long copy you mentioned? Would you have a link for where i could see one?

Ruima need boost port work on crankcase! Get a polini contesta and bolt on!

Malossi does need boos port work.

Ruima boost port are little bigger than malossi boost port. You cant go back if boost has been ported..

V8 pipe has 2 differ inlet 26 and 28 mm.

Just need 24mm Oko n ct intake, 1k center spring only.

the next r pipe is made more for a 50cc-65cc cylinder. if the inlet on the next r is 24mm or larger than it might work with a 72cc bore. keep in mind that those pipes are pretty loud.

pg copy you get from shops in hawaii. my friend traded his corsa motor and got a mhr alum. now he hates the mhr and wants another corsa. you get what you pay for. and the corsa can handle plenty of abuse. i can pm you a link to one of the local shops that sells the pg copy idk if he will ship but.

If you want performance it costs money, uses more gas and makes more noise if you dont want any of the above then leave it stock

LOUD AND PROUD

The louder thing is just laziness on the part of the designers. Top performance and quiet are possible with a bit of R&D, * it had been done on other engines.
