Pressing or pushing the cases together is not the way to put the crank back you risk damage to the crank it needs to be pulled into each case

Never use a mallot to install a crank

While I dont recommend using a mallet pauly, it can be done especially with these small cranks. I have done it without any problems

When installing the crank bawck into the case,it needs to be pulled into the crank bearing. Never use a hammer of any type and never bolt the case together to get the crank into the bearing. Using a hammer will damage the bearing from damaging the ball bearing and inner race. Trying to bolt the case together to try and get the crank into the bearing you risk stripping the bolt holes, crack the case and the crank doesn't seat all the way in the bearing. So guys those were horrible advise you gave and people don't follow those advise unless you want to either ruin a block or blow your s h I t up!

While I value your opinion baka if you didnt notice I didnt recommend him doing it with a hammer just saying that I have :P I advised him to pay a shop to do it for him since he didnt have a crank tool

you never press the cases together. there are aot of shops out there that have never touched engines like these. if the customer say to press them together, thats exactly what they will do and use a press. if your going to give advise, please give the right one. there are alot of people that have no clue that come on here asking for advise and if they see that a member that has been on here alot or is on here often, most times they will take that advise so you need to be careful what you say.

Must have tool, no question. I would never attempt to short cut this method.
