Need help with jet question

Bought a OKO PE 24mm carb for my Elite build. I`d been advised that a 120 main might be too small, so I bought a 122 & 125 from Treatland. The listing said that the jets fit all OKO carbs, plus Keihins. Got them in the mail today, pulled the bowl off my carb, and immediately noticed the difference.

The 120 that came with the carb is on the left, and the one that Treatland sent is on the right. The threads are right, but it`s a whole lot longer, and the bowl won`t fit back on the carb with the new jet in.

Where did I go wrong?

That looks like the jet holder, but I don't know for sure. :nervous:

Nope, it`s a jet with the numbers on it. Just the wrong jet I guess.

Greetings:

All my OKOs except a weird one from a Vespa dealer had the hex jets like the one on the right. The oddball carb was a crappy Asian 30mm clone with a sticky slide and had a jet-holder thingie and a longer jet tower, so the hex jets were too long for it. Treatland has sold me 2 other OKO carbs both came with hex jets installed. Who sold you the OKO 24 again?

The original was a Keihin design, that OKO cloned. It seems Thailand companies are cloning the clone, and some install weird jet setups that no longer fit the originals.

I have the OKO 24mm carb, the jet on the right is the main jet I have. The jet on the left looks like either a jet for the stock carb or the power jet for the OKO.

I bought the carb off ebay from a guy that sells under the name of autotech355. I think I`ve heard you guys call him Carlos. He sold it as an OKO, it says OKO on it, but those Chinese guys can fake anything. It`s got "OKO Speed Carburettor" cast into the left side of it. Sound familiar?

I emailed Carlos and asked why OKO jets don`t fit his carb. This is the reply I got.

Dear onebulletdan,

Hello,
this carburetor is PE type.
there are 3 type main jet for OKO carburetor.
they can not fit to each other.
1)PWK type,
2)PE type & CVK 24,30 type,
3)PA type & CVK 17,20, type.
which type main jet you bought?
thank you

I bought these off of Treatland`s site.

Now, I`m even more confused. Which one of these guys are wrong?

Sent Carlos the link to treatland, and he sent me back this email.

"the link you show me is PWK type main jet,not for this OKO PE type
this seller,he don't know carburetor.
OKO company we visit every month.we know their products."

I emaild treatland and told him of the problem. We`ll see if his customer service is any good.

Just got this reply from Treatland (fast!):

"got it, ok yes i see the error. sorry about that. i don't think we actually have the jets for the oko PE, i think people use dellorto jets in them though, if you let me know what sizes of dellorto jet you need i can send them, or we can refund you for the ones you received, just let me know we'll take care of it. thanks! benji"

Can`t ask for any better treatment from Treatland. Everyone makes mistakes. That`s why they put erasers on pencils.

Ok, carb tuners, can you use Dellorto jets in a PE carb?

This is exactly why I deal with VT Cycles, cheap, and Steve knows his stuff, he pre-jetted mine perfectly.
