I figured the oil because "guen84" was having heat issues last year and when he switched oil that all went away.So we figured the oil wasn't for bigger builds but good enough for my 66.

The exhaust gasket is the one that came with the v8,And yes it is the stock head. This is the 66cc bbk from daywot and it didnt come with a head.
if its that gasket that has the little holes on the surface and its a shinny metal gasket, that one sucks and leaks all the time when the exhaust gets hot. get the mr.gasket paper. its white and it comes in a 12x12 sheet. i use those metal shinny gaskets as templates to make gaskets only. yeah using the stock head is going to be one of the main issues of it running hot. to high compression ratio and wrong squish band design due to the lip of the uncut area hanging out into the cylinder area. either cut the head and recut the squish band or buy that 43mm head on ebay from scooter assassins and run a extra head gasket too. that should cure that issue. ts better to have .5mm of lip hanging in than 3mm f lip hanging in.

Its a white paperish gasket. I don't think it leaks because I don't see any blow out debris around the exhaust flange. Will getting the bigger head allow me to get more RPM's out of the engine or should I just get a 72cc and be done with it? My goal is to cruise at 55 and maybe a 58ish on a WOT.

When i built a 66cc i used the stock head with the kit, and spreetard got it to 60.2 mph

I am bigger 225 lbs the max speed with me on it was 55ish

8.4 gears 24mm carb and YMS v8 pipe, and it was on an elite e frame.

Im not sure anyone has done 60mph on 66cc with a stock carb.

you running it so rich to keep it cool is what causing the motor to not rpm up. its probably 4 cycling at wot which causes the motor to not rev up where it should be and you loose hp and torque from that. 2 strokes need to be preety close to perfect air to fuel ratio to make really good power. keep in mind that all the kits out there were never ment to run on pump gas. they are for race use only. the polini and malossi instructions say to run 95octane or higher fuel. so you need to adjust for the lower octane fuel being used. always build a engine to the fuel you will be using.
