Your rollers weights might be too light. My friend has 50mm bore 28 carb pg long 9.1 gears and the 7g rollers are Way too light. The polini is going to rev higher than your bore. Your bore will be better off at a lower rpm. Try heavier weights.

When i had my polini bore on the stock gears it pulled insanely hard for a scoot, but it was game over at 45mph. I never got sick of the acceleration though!

Then i put 8.44s in and it still pulls, but not as hard as before obviously.

Replaced my plug, ill check the gap when i get home. I think his just pulls so much harder cause of the gears. He's on stock gears right now. So is the r1 pipe any good? r1 sounds familiar now.
that pipe is fine. whats your jetting at? do you know if the boost port is matched to that bore?

graphite9 wrote:I'm not sure about the porting. I'm running a 120 main and a 44 pilot. Pretty sure I'm too fat up top. I'm tempted to pull it apart and slap a poling kit on it. I don't know how it was broken in, or how the porting was done. Throttle response is awesome, its real snappy, it just seems like it should accelerate better. Accelerating at 2/3 throttle is the same as full throttle.
Have you done a plug chop? find out first if the block has been ported to match the bore your using before you buy a polini. yeah the 50-51mm bores are mainly more for mini stroke crank setups. there are some that is for stock stroke but most I see now are for mini stroke cranks.the only way to know if yours is for a stock stroke is do a port map of it. the numbers will tell.
