Re: Just asking
$30 for CF reeds is kinda steep
The carb will no bolt up......that will take some custom fabrication to work.
I like the 78cc niksal bore I have a couple of those.
combined with a 24mm carb and a R1 pipe, I can do 55mph pretty easy.

Re: Just asking
yea my dad made a custom "spacer" to mount the new carb to the intake. its a 1/2 inch spacer that has 2 studs mounted on each side. the middle is michined on a cnc machine to match the intake diameter to the carb diameter

Yes brand new
They come with a polini 72cc kit
I do not use them because I use much larger reeds on my scooters.
Those only fit the stock reed cage

Re: Just asking
If you can get that carb to fit, the rest of the stuff is just bolt on performance.ILLEGALLIFESTYLZ311 wrote:Will all these parts be compatable?

Re: Just asking
What about the variator?...what is the gain on that?.. whats the difference in the weight for rollers?.. what do lighter/heavier ones do?

Re: Just asking
If the intake is smaller in diameter than the carb throttle bore or venturi, the carb will not work properly. I've tried this before.ILLEGALLIFESTYLZ311 wrote:yea my dad made a custom "spacer" to mount the new carb to the intake. its a 1/2 inch spacer that has 2 studs mounted on each side. the middle is michined on a cnc machine to match the intake diameter to the carb diameter

Re: Just asking
The main jet did not draw fuel properly because the air velocity thru the venturi was not as high as the air velocity in the adapter/intake. For the carb to work properly the air velocity has to be higher in the venturi than anywhere else in the intake system. Hence the engine would fall on it's face after about 2/3 throttle. Using the electric primer, which squirted fuel directly into the reeds, would make the motor rev to max RPM, but you have no control over mixture that way. At least that is how the engineer explained it after the experiment failed.
