How much is too much compression?

Does your Spree/Elite already run great, and you're trying to make it quicker/faster? Need a monster motor swap? Discuss your ideas here.

How much is too much compression?

Post by westy_ca »

Hey everyone :coolcruise: Ive finally got my over sized Taz piston into my little gyro. I haven't got a chance to run it yet but when I spin it over with the starter Ive got over 150 psi as compared to the original 120. Is this going to be to much compression? I already use No.1 gas as everything else here as a percentage of (what they call) ethanol in it.. Im pretty sure ethanol burns... this stuff doesnt...Id appreciate any info

as long as you run 91 or 92 octane fuel you will be ok.
Nothing like getting stroked!
