Pathetic top speed...

I picked up an awsome running Elite SE50p for $130. It looks terrible, but runs great. My only problem is, is that I cannot ride out a wheelie on it for the life of me. The belt is worn, but I drilled my main jet out to about the equivalent of a 100, and accelleration is great now, but I still can only ride out a wheelie for a few feet. Then I hit the loose dirt and skin my elbows and knees, and cut myself on my diamond plate aluminum floorboards. :D Any help?

A main jet of 100 should be way too rich for any top speed on that bike. You can prolly hit 10mph?? Also, if your looking for body panels to make this thing nice, as your other post stated, dont go a trash them by doing wheelies and laying it down. These are hard to come by for this year. I know, I have one. If that motor is stock, a #68-70 main jet is what you need. Dont forget to adjust your air/idle screw also.

screw a dio for this. do what i did get a new belt and get a 65cc bore kit with a high speed pulley kit and a 1000 RPM center spring and then tell me. b/c i could ride my wheelies down the street u can ask myspree or mopedman about that.

My floorboards were made with a junk truck toolbox, a Sawzall, and a scroll saw. I was in a hurry, and messed up a little bit, but they don't look too bad, and definately make my crappy scooter look cool. It cancels out the purple speeometer plastic piece. :D
