What is a full tank on an Elite / Vision?

I know its 4 litres. However when I open the cap there is a metal strip in the middle splitting the tank in half. Is "full" classed as being up to that mark? Its only so I can guage my first premix, after the first one it will be mixed by the can. And just so I am completely sure I need to add 125ml of oil (preferably fully synthetic) to every 4 litres of gas?

One final thing over here in the UK we have the option of 95 or 98 octane gas. Which is best for the scoot?

fill up and use what it says on the pump on how much gas went into the tank. then put your oil amount to the amount of gas went in according to what the pump says. if you have a bbk, use the highest grade fuel you can find.

Yep got malossi head and cylinder so I will use the 98 octane. I just wanted to start with a full tank so I could put the 125ml in and then go from there. Should I put a bit extra oil in during heat cycling and break in?

it will not hurt at all.... i do it for the first 200 miles but carry a spare plug..

Be careful with a "bit" more oil. The oil displaces combustible fuel, making it a leaner overall mixture. Yeah, it's got extra lube, but it runs hotter. People I trust say just run the mixure you plan to use. If you do add oil, I recommend you accompany this with a size bigger jet.

as wheelman said it does matter just run 32:1 mix with a good branded full synthetic 2 stroke oil .If you oil bottle has a picture of a lawnmower or weed wacker on it dont use it

I agree with wheelman and Pauly, just run the 32:1 premix. Then you aren't dialing in the carb twice, and its always got god lubrication.
